The orange buoys are used by the dumb arse spectator boats as moorings and by the dumb arse photo boats to mark the Edge of Reason.
On big days, on wide big sets, tied off craft can be pulled underwater on the shoulder!
It's a show in itself. They watch the surfers, the surfers sit in the lineup and cry with laughter watching THEM.
