Big-spender, your contribution was not, but was probably a pretty good reason why there aren't more women on the forums.

I'm inclined to think that internet forums are more suited to the non-communicative male psyche, but that would mean that I have accepted certain stereotypes about men and women, which would leave me open to a bollocking from Kimmy.

Of course, stereotypes are stereotypes because they hold certain truths.

Have to agree with mosquito. The quality of intellectual debate can be extraordinarily high, especially considering surfers are not known for the quality of their minds.

Nah, I was going to jump in and show another presence as a girl but Nick's already mentioned my lonely status at RealSurf.

How about this for an idea? Why don't we actually tell some girls that surf about this place?

I was amazed on both weekend mornings at the number of girls getting into the water at Dee Why. They're out there, boys, you just have to lour them in.

More women in the waves has improved the friendliness of the lineup immensely. I can't see why it would be any different here.
