I’ve no problem with you being Chair. But the electing of mods needs to taken out of your hands.
Again.
On which other web forums does this happen?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Who cares if it doesn’t happen in other places. Let’s be pioneers.

Why aren't you happy, thud?

I hope you don't leave again, I like having your viewpoints even when I disagree with them.

I had several goes at submitting this response.
Kept getting 404 message.

So I've screen shotted it.

BTW.
If you get the 404 message 5 times in an hour, you get blocked. 🤬

I'm happy Boo'. I really am. And am enjoying most interactions with the crew here.

I do have a issue with bias and bad governance though. Be it here, in the workplace, other etc.

Trevor has been a great servant to Real Surf and has filled a void. However, he has crossed the Rubicon in regard to his power and his imperialistic stranglehold needs a lens. Hence, my suggestion that he stay in the chair however, he is not the sole decision maker.

I don't think that's a unreasonable debating point and as you can see from the language and tone above he is fighting hard to retain his mob boss status. And that speaks volumes.

Jimmy doesn't have the people skills to moderate, he plays "allies and enemies" and is way too emotive with his responses.

But, its the way he was elected and institutionalized by you that is the issue.

I'm ok if the members are happy for him to stay in the role. I really am. I'll just ignore him. Or possibly you can coach him to manage conflict rather than initiate it. Just a thought.

I think it would be difficult to get a moderator as good as Trev

Like flat out denying any changes in RS re: electing mods. The answer was “No”

Like saying “Jimmy is here to stay and the future of RS”. Who gives you the right?

Not once have you asked what others think about it.

You don’t even see it. Now that’s a worry.

This is not personal. I reckon you do a fine job and are generally very even handed under the circumstances. This isn’t a repeat of Andy’s continual attacks on you from back in the day. He was just a twisted dude.

I’ve never questioned him as a moderator. He’s the bomb in that role. It’s gone beyond that though with electing sub mods

Note Legion has been A1 ghosting around the site and using his skills.

Read back over this.
You have some weird paranoia.

The site is pretty much free speech.
Once again. For the slow readers.

This is a web forum
They don't do elected mods/ admin.

There has never been an election for Realsurf moderators in it's history.
Not gonna start now.

Anyone who wants to be a mod can apply.

They'll be considered for the post by the members.

Have you noticed your proposal hasn't generated a groundswell of support?

There's no need for an official poll.
If anyone cares, they can have their say here.

Anyway, feel free to set up a poll if it makes you feel good.
