Yeah, i used to surf at a lot of the same spots with Andy - although he was twenty times better than i was and we have mutual friends. Interestingly, he proclaims as a self-confessed hot head, but i never saw it at any of the parties we were at- he always seemed like quite an introvert. There were some pretty loose guys back in the day at some of those nulla parties! I was really taken aback by Fanning's influence. I'm not into tour surfing and don't follow it, so i don't know much about Mick (other than two world titles and the shark incident), but he comes across like a really top bloke. Helping a mate out of dark hole like that is really commendable.
