I don't know where the judges are, but you can see all of racetrack and the peak from the Single Fin balcony. Temples is visible but too far away to judge.

It's odd that the judges seem to punish lack of variety on the forehand, but they will score repeated identical backhand off the lips all day every day.

Willian Cardosa. What a nice, humble guy. Can’t believe he’s a ‘zilla.

Honestly I wonder what the League team are now thinking about the natural world vs the artificial one.

Like of course they will keep going with their pool, you don’t commit to that level of expenditure and get the corporeal results they’ve already got via broadcast and just bail on it, but the last couple of events have been so kinda resounding in their sporting individuality, so unlike other sports and thus so much themselves, it’s hard to imagine how that crew will not respond to that in some way

Near perfect waves in nature is greater than perfect waves in an iron lung.

Great contests in great waves are nothing new though are they. The perennial problem of nobody watching isn’t going to be addressed by a brief upward spike in wave quality

Don't need them .......just like Aus events are sustained by on-site spectators, same goes for Bali.

Thats the only workable business model Pro surfing has ever come up with.

Holy overscore. What happened to the revised judging criteria this year? A clutch of backhand snaps is excellent and almost excellent?
True, but Julians overscores were equally egregious.

Julian is obviously giving free blowies behind the judges tower. Guess he’d make a bankable world champ for the WSL.
