Bribie occupies the same place in my mind as inland Australia did for Patrick White or the Meditteranean sea did for Homer. It's a physical and psychological reality of mythic dimensions.

Tweed Valley is a bit the same for me...plus a certain section of the mid North Coast.

Wow.
Ten pages about Bribie Island.
Who'd have thought. I still think there may be some more closet Bribie Locals lurking on Realsurf. It's a bit like dual citizenship.

Something in the water. Our team is working on 4 projects to do with Bribie Island at the moment.

Also, I plan to paddle around it this year.
And I have an annual 4wd permit for Bribie.

Steve, what tide is best for spinning at White Patch?
I'm getting a new rod and will need to do some testing.

I think low tide when you can get out to the coffee rock ledge.

But I bet they were would be some great high tide flats fishing from a kayak, SUP etc etc.

amazing what species show up in summer.

Big tides at the moment. In general the SUP is dreadful with any wind or current, decided to go earlier and leave it at home.

Do they still have the plaques showing where Steve surfed for the first time and caught his first Jewie?
