Prbs lol

The zot has a plan shape that has a narrower tail and the wide point further forward than the nugget, and it carries the width further forward than the nugget, but still has, in the last 12-18", a narrower and more flipped nose.

It's is also wider and thicker than the nugget.

Tail rocker is the same.

So imo the zot is easier to paddle into a wave but has better performance in both larger waves and smaller waves when you add the quad fins as well.

And that big tail has been crying out for quads. Geoff is just missing the best board he's ever built.

You have to see them in the flesh though, the pics on Geoffs site and on the TSA site are of the sub 6' ones that are way less "gunny" than the 6'6 to 7'6 TSA versions

I had mine converted in Bali. $60/board. Luckily, I reckon, the guy hit perfection on the fin placement.

Think I've mentioned it before, but shall do again anyway. There's a guy down this way; one of the more accomplished hpsb surfers of his mid-thirties age. Couple of years ago, he got a new tech Lazer Zap. Loved it immediately. Fcuking rips on it. Says it's "like cheating". Most tempted I've ever been

The rest of them look like my old man could sit on the nose and eat shit paddling into heaving close-out beachies, just like he did several times on one particular day in a heavy timber and fibreglass three-seater canoe. Still has me fcuked how he didn't snap his spine

Trev I started this up as a half joke because there wasn't a McCoy thread and people seem genuinely interested in McCoys and Surfy would unconsciously turn everything into a MCoy discussion.

Here's the description of the Zot from the Board Agency. They sound great as a Quad. McCoy spends his time denying all other science and manipulating his boards to perform like other boards with different fin systems, bottoms, rails etc...

Astron Zot designs are completely unique in all aspects; the plan shape is a beautifully balanced ellipse, which blends with the thickness balance, combining with perfect rocker curves, flowing into the loaded dome located under the back foot for maximum control.

I had no problem with it Davros. But surfys reaction suggests he's not quite up with the ragging that can go on here.
It's part of what makes the site so entertaining.

Changed the name. Surfy won't be able to resist as he drinks bucket loads of the coolade.
