It's obviously a new edition of Sarge's Scrapbook but this one appears to focus on the more mature surfer.

I picked up an old Tracks and read a contest report from Sarge.

Holy sheeit. the atmosphere of matey-matey, boys will be boys homo-eroticism almost put me into orbit.

They truly were innocent times my friends.

Apart from Slater has there been any other gay surfers on the tour?

There's been over 18,000 surfers compete in pro contests of one kind or another since 1976. Many of them have been gay, men and women. Some have been ostracised, most have been just accepted, I bet there's been a lot of silent suffering in there.

You may be inadvertently linking two very different issues. If those surfers are over 18yo and not off their f*ckin heads on various mind altering substances then they should be supported in making a decision about their lifestyle choice.
But would QuickRipaBong sponsor an openly gay pro surfer in the foreseeable future? Maybe but my bet is that if they do it will be a female one.
