haha so true penultimate, wow kelly slater was out deadmans, so were 2 of my mates, and i bet he wasnt doing anything better than them, except he was stading up as opposed to laying down.

back to the original question...... there were about 3 guys filming on the cliff yesterday, all looking pretty professional, but seemed to be freelancers (no chanel 9 or 10 logos in sight)

And for the record - Tom Carroll was out there too and he was going absolutely bezerk. Surfing better than Slater, taking off deeper etc etc. Didnt here much about him in all the hype.

And so was Barton Lynch. On ABC radio this morning he said he had a fantastic surf at Deadmans for about 3 hours before he lost it on a takeoff. Hit the rock bottom, got sea urchin spikes all through him. Went to hospital and will be recuperating for about a week or so.

my friend was filming me from the cliff face watching over deadmans, he got plenty of footage of slater and others.
