Rounded diamond tail?

Why is this such an uncommon tail shape?

It seems like it would be a sweet middle ground between a Squash Tail and Rounded Tail?

I like diamond tails on midlengths but don't know what a rounded one would look like

Well my understanding is that it shortens the rail length, so I would go for a clean break via a sharp direction change rather than a smooth curve which will encourage the water to wrap a bit more.

But I don't know shit.
