I've tried to find a similar sport to compare with; it is maybe similar to skaters who stay in the same park their whole lives, but even they have the benefit of different objects and runs etc. Maybe the same half-pipe?

playing a golf course vs a driving range. You are still hitting the golf ball, using the same clubs and can try out different things. But its just not the same. No one ever travels to Scotland to play on a scottish driving range
