Freddy P graciously retires from the WCT after winning his first round heat. Respect.

I want to ask him if he's promised his family he'd retire as soon as he got a 10 this year

Interesting point at which to retire. It would be hard for your ego after a heat like that not to get caught up in the dream of finishing on a win.

Must know the time is right.

Does someone get a walk through in round 3 ?

Watched slater's waves on heat replay. His board looks weird. Has to be epoxy.

Yeah it looked rank.

I love Freddy P, especially after Snapper this year, and I haven't seen the heat to know the scale, but was that really a 10?

From the highlights on the (fcuking appalling) iPad app the girls looked like they got the best of it.

How dire was Pupo's air game?

Tongue in cheek duck.

The Brazilian goofy-foots, to a man, are better stylists than every Californian on Tour.

He has had a high enough ranking on the Qualifying Tour to requalify on the CT.
He's currently ranked 92 on the QS, so unless he decides to get very busy on that tour, he might be saying farewell.

Looks a bit squirrely, like it has too much rocker. I hope Greg Webber hasn't been in his ear

As Strider summed it up, and as everyone agrees, Kelly Slater surfs the greatest 4.17 ride in the history of the sport.

Is it just a coincidence that Kelly's sponsors do not include those that contribute dollars to the WSL, compared to those of Micks?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
