They are pu blanks glassed with epoxy resin.Freshiedude wrote:Hey Cuttie
Have you seen or heard of Gary's boards being made in Epoxy? Apparently they can be ordered. Might be a tad stronger.
You mean with eps instead of pu?
I'm pretty happy with the strength of the cv2's as they are.

Whoever gave the board to "Scotty" as a birthday present will be pissed off when they see the ad.Hatchnam wrote:This is about the seventh time this dudes tried to sell his mick Mackie on gumtree in about a year. Strip the wax off it. Take better pics of it. And slash $100 off the price and someone might actually buy it.

Re: Ebay Bargains thread
I think the eps blanks would have less "strength" than the pu. Eps is used to save weight, its the glass and resin that provides "strength". If you're not going to use some sort of composite (divinicel or wood veneer) then epoxy resin over pu is probably a good strength vs cost of construction compromiseCuttlefish wrote:They are pu blanks glassed with epoxy resin.Freshiedude wrote:Hey Cuttie

It does look a bit sun affected and possibly a bit sunken near the rail.
But more interesting was another ad on that page for a bed in a Chippendale apartment with ensuit for $195/week. Main drawback tho was the other two (!) people that you have to share the bedroom with.

I don't get why people aren't slitting each other's throats in the streets over Sydney house/accomodation prices.
Too busy trying to 'get on the ladder' to really get how insane it all is.

Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Increasing numbers of homeless people sleeping in the street. Really noticeable over the last couple of years.
The thing with Sydney is you have to keep scrambling to keep up with it and be prepared to fork out cash at every turn. People are always busy. Not really time for leisurely pursuits like slitting each other's throats.

It's spreading south too, prices here are stupid and aren't slowing at all. Sydney people get sick of high prices so move south, and pay over real value, pushing prices up here. My kids will live at home til 30 Probably.

The young Malaysians Uni students downstairs have it sorted. Only a two bedroom unit with about four or more crammed into each room, plus typically about another nine or eleven camped out in sleeping bags all over the floor in the longue or crashed out on the couch. So what's that work out at? About $30 bucks a week each?el rancho wrote:I don't get why people aren't slitting each other's throats in the streets over Sydney house/accomodation prices.

What's port Kembla like now as far as pollution goes ? Still leukaemia level toxicity from all the heavy metal dust in the soil and ceilings blowing over from the steel factory ? Cheap houses there
Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Yeah brilliant. You'll get made redundant for some kid who'll work for half the price.Hatchnam wrote:The young Malaysians Uni students downstairs have it sorted.
