Looks like shark hit three times.
But it's just a bite according to the experts. Not an attack.

Far out.... big mouth by the looks. That's nuts how bad his board is compared to the foot.

Judging from the damage to the board, you would have to assume that the shark had more than a passing interest in the victim. If it didn't have a couple of goes at him, it had a very decent and prolonged single attempt.

Apparently the seals have returned to Seal Rocks after being wiped out by local fishermen in the 1970, as punishment for stealing from their traps. Seals come back, and hello big toothy critters.

Another example of a revitalised ecosystem attracting sharks.

That is going to be an awkward recovery, those cuts would have too take a long time to heal on the soul.

Not to mention the sole.

Well. I'd have to.
If I didn't the fear would permeate everything I did from then on.
I had a couple of serious crashes in rally cars, fortunately without injury and kept at it.
Got T-boned in the driver's door in speedway once. Had to wait for my ribs to heal but went back as soon as I could.

I've gotta say, sharks scare the fcuk out of me. Hopefully I won't ever have to make the call.
