aj I found the one downside to those boots. I'd read some stuff saying they stink. It's true. They are getting worse. They currently smell like sewer pits from the depths of hell. I dry them properly each time. Doesn't help. I even bought some special boot hangers. Doesn't help. I don't rinse them in fresh water. I doubt it would help. But that's a minor point. I still will wear them and buy only them because they are ridiculously good compared to the alternatives.
Just wash 'em in very warm water with a little bit of detergent every now and then. The warm water will dissolve the oils and shit that provide breeding grounds for bacteria and thus cause the stink.

The artificial reef at Palm Beach looking pretty promising, is this one of the best examples to date of an AF creating half decent waves??

It's not a particularly difficult thing to build an artificial reef.
Paying for it and getting it approved without modification is another matter.
This one was 18+ million, and that's leaving a lot off the balance sheet.
It was nearly abandoned in favour of groynes a few times. If the council rates revenue wasn't on a tear and it wasn't in front of some rich and influential donors, this one wouldn't have been built either.

ha ha according to reports, China is spending over $120 million building six wave pools modelled on the KSWC, one of which is done and running.

Yeah and all those Chinese surfers who can jump in and get slotted ASAP. Then head to Indo, Australia etc..to flex their new found skills in the ocean.

I have found Australians to be pretty respectful everywhere I’ve surfed, including Indo.
I haven’t surfed The southern Goldy for 30 years, or Sydney ever, but that’s my experience.
Other nations who’ve come later to the party, not so much.

FYI Malcolm Campbell is doing a shaping stint for a few weeks at Rhino Laminating in September.

Here’s your chance Iggy.
