I actually thought some of his earlier heats were pretty weak, he wasn't matching the speed of the wave.
But he stepped up. That finishing move on the lower 9 was crazy.
Potts was his groupie in the booth, arguing with judges who didn't give him tens.

What a final. Old Strides was nearly wetting himself. I enjoy the way everyone is surfing now way more than say five years ago.

Yeah I do.
It might be a bit different if it was someone off the internet.
Like if you drove down from Brisbane and took a board back with you I might consider that a bit odd.
Sounds like this one has had a happy ending though.
