Just saw a video of Josh Kerrs daughter doing a huge air reverse in a wave tub. Guess that’s the future. Wonder if she can do one in the ocean.

Medina's not even trying.

Why should we pay any attention if the current defending world champ couldn't be fcuked making an effort in perfect 4'+ JBay.

Speaking of which. I'm a bit confused the wave scale they are using seems to be face size.

That's a very big heat for both surfers.

I think Medina recovered from a choke better than almost anyone could.

I think Ryan made a couple of mistakes he'll never make again.

Ryan made the mistakes but Medina also made plenty, but for him to capitalise under pressure and make Ryan pay was fcukng ballsy.

Not really. He just surfed the wave that was given to him. Only needed a 6 or something

Yeah well it's the kind of heat that might launch a surfer to a win. Stop him from dicking around.

btw hurray for Ronnie and Barton, and even Sal!

I'm really beginning to dislike the others now, they just sound like they're phoning it in all the time.

Barton Lynch; I'll have what he's having. So f&ckibg positive. The good vibes just ooze from him.

I might be a bit alone, but I like Pottz as well. Consistent, kind of low key, but genuinely appreciative. Those noises he makes, the grunts and oohs behind Joe’s commentary when someone does a big manoeuvre is a good soundtrack for me.
And then during the wave replay, the way he glowingly highlights the particular things that were especially good I find pretty spot on and non-annoying.
