Also, 2nd today in the over 65s at the Alex Winter Classic.
Surf was the best it was all weekend. Friday was abysmal.
Today I got two good clean waves.

Similar to vortex control winglets on aircraft wings.
An attempt to get more laminar flow off the tail, operating a little like channels.
Probably also gives her more feel for the tail, and lets her run smaller fins and get a bit looser. I heard some expert say a while back he thought most of the girls' boards were overfinned.

But honestly I'd say she's chasing shadows and it's a hologram bracelet situation, looking for confidence.
