Here's a new Reef Waterproof Leather Sandals ad with Shane Dorian.
I haven't seen a better ad for a pair of thongs.

I've had it with leggies, broke another FCS yesterday, after having tried Creatures and O&E with the same result, breaking at the molded ankle strap end. I'm going to give a couple of these a try https://staycovered.com/collections/sur ... surf-leash they have a guy selling them in Aus. Anyone used these?
Creature and O&E gave me replacement leggies after theirs failed in the first week, FCS not so warranty worth nothing.

Have had no trouble with Balin, but I get the thickest ones in 7’
Something I read on S/net about ditching them after 2 years max regardless of brand.

https://staycovered.com/pages/australia-sales, Kirk Birke recommended them as he and others around the area have been using them in some pretty solid waves.

Local point has a bubble to take off on and bomb sets get you if the swell is pushy, so yeah it is from throwing my board. But these are 8' leggies and they always break in the same spot.

Yep, nice fluid, minimalist style.

The only fins I saw were quads, right?

There were bonzer fins on the orange board, maybe the one with coloured rails too.

was a bit repetitive, watching the same surfer on the same wave over and over is a bit boring. he didn't look like those boards were really working for him.

I thought he handled the small stuff a lot better than the big stuff.......like most surfers.
