I just wanted to design and build stuff. The political back stabbing and internecine warfare amongst all the various players with their own vested interests at heart was a source of frustration and annoyance

Pretty much my life (I sign the contracts off for the region now). All you can do is play it with a straight bat and stand your ground. Cost is cost and price is price.

I had some nice, well overhead, vertical walls to play on this morning. One of the Balinese guys was doing a John John impersonation on the lone double with just 6" of rail engaged on a solid wall.

Watched a few guys I look up to make too many mistakes. Pretty stoked with my boards.

ah probably yellow or orange. I dunno about pain and fear but I better stay good about the decision-making.

Yeah I dunno about that either but I think he is pretty much the best surfboard designer in the world right now.

el rancho just shaped himself a wonky 7'8" single fin pintail for big kirra. he's shot straight to the top of the list in my books.

I saw a guy on a new Christenson get so rag-dolled on the rock-off on Sunday.

I don't think his design characteristics extend to the rock off, Steve.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Christenson the guy whose done all his shaping using CAD, that is, no real experience hand shaping.
