Oh god how irrelevant and sterile. Sounds even worse than watching that tic-tac 5 foot cross-onshore Bells beach event.

mind, if that wave was in the wild and not artificial; the froth meter would be melting under duress.

Would you mind throwing in a little more homoeroticism

I dunno, all this "oh I'm bored" stuff sounds a bit rehearsed to me.

Nick, bored is probably the wrong word. Underwhelmed is probably a better word.

Every opportunity to push the limits, can't be surprised by a section or more power than expected, yet it is still safety surfing at its finest.

I watched a few waves. I couldn't get into it. Couldn't seem to see any results. Was there a leaderboard being constantly updated as surfers slip down into the relegation zone? I didn't see it. Seemed little drama.
Obviously, seen two waves, seen them all, doesn't help.

Probably better live, particularly with a tinnie in your hand.

Looked like fairly safe surfing from the highlights. Seabass and parko were somewhat interesting, the girls' surfing seemed to suit the wave better, maybe due to lower power?

Yeah. Boring, underwhelming. Call it what you like. I kinda switched off from giving a shit about the pro circuit right around the early nineties when boards became 17 inches wide and I realised that Tracks magazine was written by congenital retards for nihilistic bong addled deadbeats. The tub event just ices the cake.

Thought I would look up how Occys wave is progressing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTL07Ub_ZFs
The piston thingy in the middle of the lake that makes the waves is an impressive size, as is the size of the lake.
I just can't get my head around curved lines of swell, weakening energy as the swell radiates out, and once you are on a wave with a curved wall ahead, will that mean that you have to delay your bottom turn.
Hope it works for them as it is an impressive bit of engineering.

Occy's father was an engineer so it's no surprise that Occy is such a dab hand with the slide rule and the pencil.

More like a sly drool and penis.
The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.
