Well, they made their excuses for yesterday. The good raps he's been getting are worth more than the score though. Speaking of raps.....some people were a bit nasty to Nick over on Coastalwatch over his rap about Stephs 10 Pointer at Keramas..
I really couldn’t give a fcuk. They’re kooks with weird shit going on about women. Their nastiness gives them away.
There’s no Australian male surfer within boo of a world title for the first time in the whole of professional surfing’s history, actually for the first time in modern competitive surfing’s history.
The only man on tour with a claim to the best surfer title right now is JJF. Steph has five years on him and looked better by a good way at Keramas.
Caveats schmaveats, like what’s the point? I look at that 10 and see a surfer at a brilliant peak. No surfer is anywhere near that shit right now. You’d have to be blind not to see it — blind, or have a little bit too much invested in not giving a woman that space.

I was watching live, I reckon Steph’s kick stall gave me a stab of joy unmatched in my last 5 years of surf watching.

I was just applying similar caveats that are not unfairly applied to Filipe Toledo and Jordy Smith when greatest surfer assessments are made.

I didn't see it live but I agree that stall was pure genius.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

kelly's roundhouse cutties lately have been giving me stabs of joy. or are they pins and needles of misremembered pleasures past. watch a game for too long and they all start to go around and around. hmmm, might count the bubbles in my beer.

JJF v Andino on right now.
I haven't drunk the Kolohe-Aid, I don't get what's so great about him that he wins heats.
Seems like a very good surfer in the middle third of the wave, with slightly above average aerials.
John's making him look silly.

I prefer watching the current crop of top hotshots a lot more than the previous crew. Never thought I'd find Margarets as exciting as it is now.

It’s an awful wave. Stop-start-stop-start.
