Northern Beaches Council lift the beach booze ban for The Australian open of Surfing & plan to turn the beach front into a beer garden.
Some may have issues with this but I say Oi Oi Oi. + the smokers will have glass bottles to put there butts in, a win for the enviroment
Will they have live on Corso betting as well. Awesome!! It's going to be the Melbourne Cup of surfing. Drunk fatties in tight dresses throwing up on the sand to the backdrop of onshore 1ft dross. Surfing finally gets with the program. I suggest the last post is played before every event.
Aristocrat to unveil a surfing themed pokie at the event
I'd put a lazy 50 through it.

Just about every big sports gambling company offers betting on the WSL.
Back in the day when I punted a bit, Sportsbet offered betting on heats. Odds were atrocious. One surfer would be $1.10 and the other guy would be $1.40. Pointless.

I remember Jody Smith was 6/1 to win J Bay. Think he won it that year. Pretty crazy betting on surfing, that ocean can sort of be slightly unpredictable

Yeah, that's actually a pro for betting because it makes rigging that much harder.

True although the other objective factor....i. e....no waves...means plans can be thwarted.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Just watched a vid of Jaws during a big swell a couple of days ago. Totally out of control crowd-wise. Seems any bloke who can afford a gun and an inflation vest is out there. Three blokes on a wave, boards getting bailed, loose boards in the impact zone. Frightening at that size.

I've watched quite a few paddle sessions down here at monster size. Agree with the crowd/kook factor, but you can't hang onto that much foam at that size. The talk in the line-up might have been interesting

Log on to the pass cam at swell net for a laugh. A few knocks to the head today, I'd imagine.
