I have a newfound respect for pro surfers after watching them throw themselves into pipe bombs today. Most exciting day of competition since Jjf at margs

A legends heat would have been the better option.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Bondi's gonna be shit. Beanpole will go to Tamarama but not find a parking spot and end up going for a swim.

I didn't know this guy but a number of my friends did.
Apparently hit his head on the board.

Bad luck Johnny Mac
Re: Just general surfing stuff
I'm amazed that doesn't happen more often, tbh, assuming it clocked him in the head.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
Agreed.
I know it's the one thing I have always feared in a heavy wipeout, since I was 15.
My wife is always worried I won't come home one day
But she's forever grateful she didn't know me when I was driving rally cars.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
People usually fall off SUPs backwards. Because they’re worried about the paddle, that means they are almost always facing away from the board when the legrope pulls it back.
Tip by the way, when you feel pressure on your leggie, ALWAYS turn away from the leggie, ie face directly away from the source of the pressure. If it springs back you want all the space you can get between your head and the board. Just relax until the pressure’s gone then grab your board. Don’t ever pull it back to you using the leggie.
Trev and co: imagine a life where you went to Hawaii for 30 consecutive winters, Tahiti every year since 1983, and numerous trips to Indo’s weirdest and most dramatic surf locations. And I’m minor compared to some of my friends. You can’t be worried about this shit. It’s easy as hell to avoid.
