Nup, they've done a number on themselves.crabmeat thompson wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 2:49 pmsurfstich have really done a number on the industry, huh?
There is a bit of overreach about the Destruction of the Surf Industry I think.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
Surfstitch went down the time tested path of greed and hubris.
A clever business model grows very nicely, get attention of big investors, the bucks start flowing, management gets egged on for more and more growth, they overpay for often ridiculous acquisitions, find out they can't bed the lot down, over promise and under deliver, balance sheet gets stretched and the early supporters are long gone. Enter the vultures.

I reckon the surf industry is great at the moment. With the demise of the major players so many small creative players getting involved and making great stuff.
I want Nightclub Dwight dead in his grave I want the nice-nice up in blazes
Re: Just general surfing stuff
The bigger crime is making a video about it. WTF was that?Hatchnam wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 9:56 pmHoly mother of god. This bonzer. The tail pad and wax job right at the end.

Local "garage" style surf shops selling great stuff for fair prices.
One example. Smart Leash Co. that actually sell each component for a leash.
FCS cnuts stopped that years and years ago.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Steve, I expected far more from that 69 video than you delivered. I'm expecting girl on girl tongue work and I get an old wolloper spitting at the plebs. Don't care if he was the Man thirty years ago.steve shearer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:15 amI reckon the surf industry is great at the moment.
