Who is the hardest core surfer on Realsurf??

Hatchy? Drailed? Beanpole? (fcuk he's been going hard this summer)
Offshore with that diamond ring slicer thing?
I am discounting shearer till he tells us what happened to the camera. Maybe Braithy?

Unfortunately, they can't do the drone attack thing because previously Steve contacted CASA to ensure a ban on drones at Lennox Head due to its proximity to Ballina Airport. Who knew Steve was so passionate about aircraft safety??

Me too. The almost imperceptable little clack it would have made when it hit, then fell impotently into the grass in several pieces*

What criteria are we using? Just being the best doesn't automatically mean hardcore. Committment and hours in the water for the last year may be indicators of more core.

This should be a yearly comp.

Surely the best indicator is hours spent surfing on the Bukit.

Riding asian pop-outs has to be grounds for immediate disqualification or this comp can have zero credibility.

Cranked should have enough hours annually to win it twice over.

Or the Gold Coast. This is a measure of how prepared you are to suffer for your chosen sport

Exactly the opposite.

According to well known pundits of surfing, this particular choice of surfcraft handicaps a surfer to such an extent that any surfer who can make them work must possess truly masterful technique.

I'm presuming most or at least some of the regular Gold Coast surfers would be better given the fact that they are considerably younger as well. Cranky definitely gets most points for commitment. Hatchie has to get points for commitment also for driving relentlessly in his bid to escape Maroubra each week.

Pondering Beanies top 5 questions about pro surfers and rashies.

Are they contracted to not wear sun protection gear? I can't remember the last time I didn't surf without a rashie or a long sleeve vest.

Well if you don't mind me suggesting, I think it is really more about how hard core we come across here on RS.

It can have fcuk all to do with how good you are. Like who knows what really goes on? All we have to go on is the claiming, the surf checks, the stance one takes in the great wave height call dispute and other core moral questions, the board talk, the willingness to leap in with advice on any surf related matter, the mastery of surf talk in general...the vibe, if I may be so bold.

Like shearer says Asian pop-outs are surely a difficult proposition - unless you can mount a very very hard core case for your behaviour
