What does bother me about her is her and Kurt's approved building application from Warringah Council and the long-term ramifications on Pittwater residents especially, if the northern beaches councils merge. But that's another story altogether.
Isn't her place in Manly? Or is the bridge the boundary between Warringah and Manly?
She lives on the Queenscliff hill and gets Freshwater beach views (but her unfortunate neighbour doesn't anymore
). I believe that the Manly lagoon bridge marks the Many/Warringah council boundary just as the Narrabeen lagoon bridge does with Warringah/Pittwater.
Warringah will effectively get control of the merged council even if Warringah is split, solely based on the higher number of Warringah councillors in each of the two new entities.

Talking about the Q Pro, its kinda interesting that for all the threads on this forum it hardly gets a mention, seems like no one really gives much of a shit about pro surfing.

Thinking of the pros and cons of competitive surfing its mildly interesting, but the key feature of surfing as a pastime is the overcrowding, so anything that promotes and encourages surfing only adds to the number of surfers in the water.
I thought the early anti surf comp attitude promoted by Tracks (no reference to or acknowledgement of surf competitions) perfecly fitted the practice of surfing
What also fitted was the early surf entrepreneurs, when it was "holy shit, someone is making and selling shorts made for surfing".

This 5 minute video of John John surfing in W.A. is intense fun.
The soundtrack song, Blind Willie Johnson's 'Lord I just can't keep from crying' performed by the Barr Brothers, also works very well.
