At what size have you surfed Cloud Break Drailed? Thinking about going this year before my creaking bones, fraying hip labrum and stiff back get the better of me. But when I go I'm going to have a crack not tick.

3-5ft, restaurants about 3ft.

Mate, you'll be fine. Cloudbreak has a few take off points - further up you go the easier it is to roll into. Gets ledgier around the mid section.

Its a phenomenal wave that will change your life.

Dont get washed onto the reef by the photographers tower like I did though! Ouch!

tbh, i read it without realising who wrote and assumed it was chas. I did think that it was well written and that chas was lifting his game quite a bit!

it was when I was there.

Far greater chance of getting 6 ft or plus barrels there than in the Maldives, where you've got far more chance of being run over by a yoga mum on a soft top or an Israeli on a Merrick who thinks he's shredding.

Wow that must mean it is 6ft every day then - averaged 3-6 when I was there with an 8-10ft day in the end.

Yes steve, more chance of getting barreled at cloudbreak, I dont think anyones disputing that.

Went to Indo last year it was 5-8ft everyday. And it turned a manageable break into a ledgy board grinder. Loved it but Cloudbreak would be well.... I guess just go and see.
