I thought Steve would launch into a diatribe about Bondi.
Apparently pickled onions are okay though.
So, yeah, nice one Sunbird.
Anything else in the cocktail apart from gin and pickled onions?
I’m envisioning a dirty martini type drink.

I mean, tastebuds? WGAF?

Watching Nate Florence opening day at pipe, for this early season swell and some raw footage on Surfline YouTube.
Looks super uncrowded.
Still beyond me though.

Pickled onions are fantastic and don’t let anyone ever say they aren’t. Ever.

Even harder to surf with all that sand still in there...

Potentially the largest swell of the year incoming- in October.

Glad I renewed the friendship with my 7'6"

I am feeling way too unfit.
Might ease into it in Byron and surf some solid stuff in the second half of the event.

I'm still carrying G-land surf fitness, so hope to ride a few big waves if I can get off the rocks.

Surfed for about 3hours today. Got a bit burnt even with the screen on. It wasn’t bad, a little juice on the right bank.

Side note, plenty of different frogs going gangbusters just now. Jervis Bay tree frogs a plenty.

Girl. You’re a very feminine writer. And a total mean girl.

I got a spam mail that fcs have new fins from Chris Christenson so I had a look.
For the 5 fin set, they mention in the description that they took as a base the accelerator template for the thruster and performer template for the quad rears.
Looking at the fin data sheet, they didn't change anything - same foil, sweep, base, height, area.
Made them fibreglass, put CC's name on them and chuck a $270 price tag on.
They do look nice though but how is that a signature fin?

I would have thought someone like CC would like to put a bit of his own spin on things for his signature fins.

270 is his own spin.

True.
Do shapers/surfers actually put any input into any of the fcs range (apart from when they took pre-existing templates like MRs), or just say, yeh that looks good to me no worries while awaiting the royalties.
Like CC has a 5 fin set at captain fin that is a completely different template.
