Been watching a bit of the Boardriders Comp this weekend. Highly enjoyable. All very good surfers, as expected. Then the CT surfers like Conner O’Leary turn up, so next level, as expected. The speed is noticeable. Far out the pros are amazing.

So relaxed too. His fcuking arms, especially his forward arm, doesn’t flail about. He doesn’t seem to need it to counter balance or generate momentum, especially through bottom turns. His body is always so centred over the board, no awkwardness. Unique style. Can’t believe that dead arm thing he has going. Everyone says it’s a skate thing but a lot of surfers skate and don’t have that style in the water.
