That's not a bad idea doubt Quick Edward would be so forthcoming to that.

I get the impression that even though Rothman speaks on behalf of Hawaiian surfers with their consent or not but that there is something for him to gain personally amongst the controversy.

As for the WSL they are a business and if they can do without dealing with local stakeholders of course they are going to avoid it. Perhaps in modern times they can simply ignore extortion attempts if thats what it is.

It doesn't seem like there has been any real reporting on what has actually happened if this involved the NRL or AFL then it would be big news from the sports leading reporters.

Maybe its just a whole lot of hot air but if something is brewing in Hawaii are the surf writers shirking from the story with fear of retribution?
