It's a dumb ill thought out plan with an extreme likelihood it wont come off. Cronulla is a nightmare to get to and then people have somehow gotta get from there and get on the piss in Lakemba, with surfboards in tow.

Have you ever organised anything before iggy or do you just shout out random ideas and because you shouted it loudest and first you decided thats the best plan.

these mongs are only agreeing to it cause they think it's funny to watch you get all excited about the stupidest idea since you tried to invent SurfieC.

i'm in.
cronulla has much to recommend it...plenty of space for waves and bbq. and the best surf shop in sydney -- jacksons. but do you think cronulla is a bit far? i imagine most attendees are north of the bridge.

i've been to lakemba, the food is good. friends moved out there in protest at house prices in the inner west. the pub is fine. seemed to be full of islanders whenever i've been in there. but i'm not going west in summer. not a chance.

waverly bowling club would be a good meet up...given it's 50 metres from place and i hate driving. large outdoor area. no one else there. but not great surfing options...bronte on a weekend...eh.

Well, in fact, I'll do one or the other: a surf at Cronulla or food at Lakemba.

Nnuh, it's you getting so froffed up over it... :D

I've already drawn up a list of places we'll visit where significant events took place during my childhood.

there's this thing called a train network you northern beaches non-train-having crybaby kook. cronulla has a station and so does lakemba. admittedly there's an hour + from point A to B by train. but, i doubt chest-beaters like yourself would be up the surf anyway. so just show up to lakemba later on. the "pre-cursor surf at cronulla thing" is simply there for those who wish to. either that or we scrap one or the other and either just stick to a cronulla surf and booze up, or flag the surfing the just head straight to lakemba to eat great food and lose our minds (heads).

Tempting as it is to sit on a train for an hour with a bunch of half cut internet strangers, eat a heap of protein and drink litres of beer then try not to shit myself on the way home, I am an unlikely starter

Somebody please film this event

OK I'll be the first to ask - why Lakemba? You can get a decent Lebanese feed plenty of other places if that's the appeal. Are we trying to break down social divisions and integrate with our middle eastern cousins?

Lakemba? Now? I think a Shearers suggestion of North Sydney, at least you would be bored to death rather than beheaded.
