On those silly lightweight boards too...

I saw her at Margs last year, hugely impressive.
Actually I think she might've been out when we were surfing, a bit further down?

all of 'em. They don't have enough time in solid backside reef waves so they're struggling to read the place. A day like today should be about sitting high up and inside and getting 5 second barrels across that middle bowl. Sally's probably going to walk home based on conservative surfing on a really big board.

I dunno what I am thinking there actually. One of the basic rules in this situation is that good styles rule - if everything's put together right, it's easier to surf well in challenging waves. Malia Manuel has been the form star of the contest and Stephanie's got the best style. S is already in the final and I bet Malia meets her there.

I was about to write the same thing, then Sal and Malia got a few.

Did I hear correctly just then? Rosy said Malia is surfing with a broken wrist?

respect.

Bringing back nice memories...I jagged a week on tav this time last year, we ( wife and 2 kids ) scored a cancellation, arrrived the day after the contest finished. Boat came out to pick us up on coast full of Kellys boards and bags, he had lunch on table next to us....then helicopter came 2 hours later and picked him and his Mrs up for the trip back to Nadi......the place was empty the week after as the circus all bolted to Bali, and swell was great.

Well that pretty much described my surf, so I doubt I'd be setting the place on fire.
You might want something longer than a 5'4".
