Re: Fiji 2014
A female friend, a very active sports person, travelled into deepest darkest Wales to watch a soccer game. It was a great game which was followed by a huge night on the grog. Next morning, she and her mate drove unsteadily back across the border into England. Feeling desperately worse for wear, she pulled over at the first pub she noticed, the Bulldog Hotel in Bristol, a renowned local bloodhouse. As she sipped on a restorative pint, she noticed a group of men in the corner avidly watching a game on the TV. Passionately discussing, arguing and following the game. As she walked out, she noticed that they were actually watching a game of women's rugby. As a keen sportswoman, she thought it was absolutely fantastic!

The men's event is about to go dire, I think. Can cloudbreak even break under 4-foot? They were saying last year on one particular day, this is the smallest you can surf it, and it was 4ft and sectiony as anything. The wave was kinda broken up into about 5 peaks ,each peak at the end of an unmakeable section. It was more like a beachie.
A goofy will win it.
If it is in small crap waves, and we see poor scores from the men, are we going to get 4 pages of outrage??. I mean, have the guys as professionals trained enough for 4' junk? Are they too physically heavy for the junky waves? Are the men physically unable to surf smaller waves, because they're men?
Only time will tell.
Re: Fiji 2014
Tuned in based on the great looking forecast. Solid cloudbreak and restuarants live. Why wouldn't you. First female event I have ever properly watched. Quite enjoyed it too.

Surfie C would turn over in her grave after reading the criticism posted here if she was dead.

Re: Fiji 2014
total crapshoot.
the winner will be the guy who can blitz limited opportunity. I hate to say it but that means Fanning over Smelly Skater.
and if Holy Toledo wins it doing twirly birds I'm gunna kick both Braithwaite and Beerfan in the nutz with steel capped boots.

While I admit, what I'm saying is sexist. I feel that would be at the lower end of sexism, while Christians who've suppressed, beaten, tortured, humiliated and raped women systematically for hundreds of years are quite possibly at the upper end.
fixed it for you.
Taliban have only been in existence since the mid 90's Braith.

Re: Fiji 2014
I'm sort of enjoying mind surfing it, ignoring all the jams and punches through the roof.
My new little 5'6" would be perfect in those waves.
