Watch Medina's 7.83 on the heat analyser. I defy anyone to tell me that was better than Parko's 7.
Would love to hear the judges explain that one

You don't have to sign up to watch the full replay of the heat anymore, but you don't get the little pictures telling you when stuff happened.

Here's the final.

i only saw the last half but it seemed like Medina's positioning was way better - he was on the inside catching waves with clean faces while Parko was taking off on crumbly bombs.

what do you make of gabriel medina, robzig? seems like only yesterday he was winning grom comps, now he's on top of the world.

that's right, it was that grom comp at hossegor or wherever when everyone suddenly knew about him - it was only two or three years ago! since then he's been barrelled at big pipe, teahupoo, cloudbreak and a few other places, won wct events and shit. the kid's a man, for real!

All this talk about Brazilians and not one mention of the enigmatic Tiago Pires. The peoples champion. Kelly Slater's kryptonite. The tower of power, the man of the hour.

Oh that's right. He's from portugal.

Carry on.
