Someone contradicts you and it ain't me.

Dane Reynolds: "It’s cheesy to say, but surfing is art. Once you get to a certain level of surfing, it’s your art".
Yeah well I thought it was an art once too till I woke up to myself.
How disappointing. Drawing lines isn't art!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the tiniest bit of imagination will take you there. Actually, most sports have an artistic element to them, if you have eyes to see.

Lawn bowls, the arc of the bowl, the lines drawn on a canvas green.

Rugby, of any type, the art of making someone think something, and doing the opposite of what they are thinking, the art of making others move in a way that you want, before throwing the telling pass. The flight of the ball, the arc of the run, the grace in movement.

Golf, the lines of flight of the ball, the intrinsic magical physics of the damn thing.

Men will see what they choose to see, nothing more, nothing less.

And on topic! No particular order.

Mark Richards, because. If I need to explain it you are dead to me.

Slater.

Curren, a bloody artist, taught the world new lines, poetry in motion.

Andy Irons - took it up to Slater, and changed Slater in the process. I'm not sure that applies the other way around.

Simon Anderson, proved the rule by being the exceptional big man in a sport for short stocky men. Luke Egan another worthy mention for the same reasons, I'd rate Luke higher as a surfer but Simon was there first.

Dorian - Will surf anything... 2ft - 100ft on 11'4 boards to 5'2 boards

Curren - Did what he wanted middle finger to ASP & a world title thru trials

Parko - Effortless

Pottz - ANimal

A.I. - Grrrrrrrrr...Taj Vs A.I. Slater Vs A.I. surfing needs more rivalry (special mention Mick Campbell)

Buttons= His surfing was so creative and far ahead of its time.

Curren= Timeless style, his surfing looks so good even just when he does a bottom turn or goes straight.

Occy= Power and style, especially back hand.

Kelly= The best surfer in history and does it all with style.

John John= My fav of the new kids, has style, power and tube sense but can still do the tricks as good as any.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
