Victoria - flat as a feckin pancake!
Is this how SE QLD's feel? Nice offshore winds and fcuk all swell?
Current shorey at Gunnamatta would be lucky to get a seagulls knees wet
Winter was good but if this is the entree to summer I'm going to be a right shit to be around because my late spring dawn surfs before work are already being fcuked with

Pretty sad when even Gunna or Woolies don't have waves - usually good this time of year.Grooter wrote:Is this how SE QLD's feel? Nice offshore winds and fcuk all swell?

It's well and truly farked.
Re: Victoria - flat as a feckin pancake!
I've been riding this thing to keep in shape:
Carver C7 trucks ($148) with 69 mm x 55 wheels I got from ebay for $20. Bearings from my sons skateboard that he never rides. I started with a concaved deck but it hurt my feet, so I made a wide flat deck. It's awesome,20 mins on this is like 2 hours in the water

Swell magnet near Peterborough last night. Wondered if it was worth the effort. Turned out it was. Ocean in perfect nick. Long lulls and only 2 ft, but well shaped and 100 + metre rides. Just me and one mate anywhere to be seen
Wind fcuked here this morn, but the swell's on the rise

Groots, do you ever check that swell magnet on the Schank side of Flinders? Was once a semi-secret spot and then they went and put a carpark on the main road. Often gets more swell than the gunna to portsea stretch

Flat as all hell at the moment, swell is coming up though as you say so Sunday may be a goer if the bloody winds stay quiet

It's called either Kerry Green or Mines. Parking area is on Boneo Rd between Punchbowl and Keys Rds intersections. You could once drive in, but now you can only walk. About 500m. Fickle, but sometimes more than worth the effortGrooter wrote:Cyrils, BL?swvic wrote:Groots, do you ever check that swell magnet on the Schank side of Flinders? There is/was old equipment from the mining/quarrying days there. An interesting sort of place despite the surf. Seen a few folk fishing off the rocks over the years too
