Swellnet

Interesting features on the new site.

http://www.swellnet.com/news/swellnet-d ... ng-welcome
The five day forecasts and WAMs are available for gratis. However, if you wanna peer a little further into the future then we've got 16 day forecasts and WAMs for the right price. Just choose the plan – monthly, quarterly or yearly – and enter your digits. Not only will you get a further 11 days of info, you'll get widescreen surfcam vision with no pre-roll ads.

What you see today isn't the finished product. Over the coming months Swellnet will grow in various ways. First will be an online store, stocking surfwear and hardwear, then a board directory and a travel section too. Lastly – or perhaps not – will be a surf video portal. In the meantime we'll tweak and tug at different parts of the site to improve the functionality.
I don't really get into the science of swell forecasting. Anyone know how accurate theirs is?

My position could be perceived as biased but....

A real smooth mid season storm track in the southern Ocean or North Pac might show some consistency to warrant a week call....

anything on the East Coast of Aus sixteen days out would not just be useless but highly misleading.

fark, 10 days out on the gfs is fantasy land. 7 aint much better. 16??!! what a bunch of bull shit that is.
if you buy into that, well, go eat a d.i.c.k. you deserve to get fleeced of your cash. if you are serious about
surfing, learn to read charts, and decipher mhl buoy readings.

Is there new surf forecasting techniques that can predict 16 days? Some of the systems would not have had a chance to begin?

EDIT: Just saw the other posts.

If Swellnet could get a Cam for Currumbin Alley and Broadbeach, that would be awesome. Coastalwatch does have a Currumbin Cam, but none at Broady
