I don't think its a bad logo, its just not that recognisable when shrunk down - barely adequate if used the same way as the current logo - see below. They'll probably have a shmick new interface for heats on demand next year and the example I've shown won't be a problem, but there'll be other instances where a tiny logo will be needed.

Fong - I have no insight into Zosea's plans - I work in digital and I can see there might be a modest income stream from youtube ads thats all.

Nah it is crappy. I can see what the designer is trying to do but it's not appropriate for the way they'll be using it. Like Fong says, it's a logo for a beer bottle label.

can you realsurfers who know shit about logos offer advice, like where do you start if you want to make a logo or who do you talk to if you want one made? i want to start a little adult toys and literature shop here in hanoi and call it the vietnamese women's sexual liberation front and have a logo for the stamps i'll stamp on sales receipts with the initial letters at the top - v.w.s.l.f - and a rousing message at the bottom something like "pleasure to the people!" all in some kind of revolutionary style.

Sorry Braithy ... the logo is fugnawfull ... its a logo that is trying way too hard to impress ... it has far to much going on in its life ... and regardless of how busy it is ... it achieves very little let alone reach any dizzy heights ... if it was a contestant in "So you think you're a logo" ... it wouldn't get past the first round ... well lets face it ... it wouldn't even pass the audition ... thats a no from me.

To me, the new logo looks like a wrapped block of Sex Wax as seen from above. You've got the circle bit, which is a pretty straight rip off, and then you've got the crinkly bit around the outside representing the plastic.
