But you'd be hard pressed to know what women's surfing is actually like.
I went looking for some actual footage of the event, and it is near impossible to locate.
There is no heats on demand, not even any video section. The 'Live webcast' has some footage, but drops out in the middle of the final.

Eventually found out that Malia Manuel won the event, doesn't look like there was any depth to the field despite it being a 6-star event.
The arse shaking numbnut got to the Rd of 72.
I can't remember what the girl looked like, but I'd be interested to try the yellow quad fish.

Actually, Fong, a girl I used to surf with when I lived in San Diego told me about the event when it was on as they used to live in Oceanside so they clicked a link.
There are some great canyon-fed breaks in the area. You'd like it.
