Surfing 2050

Post by Animal_Chin » Fri Jan 11, 2013 8:24 pm

Transport yourself into the year 2050. You go for a surf. What does it look like?

What sort of board are you on? Wetsuit? Crowded or has the nuclear fall out cleared the line up?

due to the continued non-culling of sharks, there will be a higher population of noahs than people.

impossible to dip a toe at your local without 5 whites snapping at you.

so

to save 3rd world countries from their flooded lands because of global warming, we transport them here and pay them (small fee) to escort us around in the water and take bites for us.

surfing becomes a rich mans/kidnapping/ransom sport.

Fall-out? It'll be in a monstrous bubble dome, and at my age I'll be on a jet-assisted mal in a geriatrics wavepool. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

We'll all be riding jet powered sleds or else the sea will have solidified and there will be unit blocks where the sea once was....

People will be copying what people are doing now, in a vain attempt to be "core", the way they were back in 2013.

Well in 2050 I'll be at the ripe old age of 74

So if I'm still surfing, it'll probably be on a big fcuk off mal on smaller days at reef breaks.

The thought of being that old kind of depresses me a little

It makes me sort of happy.
In the year 2050 I'll be 69, and that makes me happy too.

Buff_Brad will be 87.....

Far out. Probably still be ripping and hanging out with smokin hot babes .... ho hum.

A robotic surfer will win the world title and there will be a huge debate over it's eligibility.

The extremely wealthy will have the only access to a very rare , insanely addictive and unbelievably pleasurable drug. BB promises to let his fellow RSs in on the gig.

The Northern Beaches will still be a cultural void.
