I'm starting to get really hot under the collar over that Namibian left that barrells forever.

I'd be happy with anything uncrowded at the moment.

I was thinking the take-off would be hard to make too.

Damm if Namibia wouldn't be an interesting place to visit though, with the dunes, wildlife, culture, history etc ect

i once skipped a trip to g-land in order to delight in the company of a japanese bodyboarder friend a couple of days longer. does that count as thwarting desire?

Had mates of mine from Cape Town who had been surfing the place for years. It’s been a well kept secret until the pros and camera freaks arrived. They all seem to f-ck places up. Expensive to get to. Internal flights cost heaps.Freezing water and the place snaps boards like king Kong snaps wafer biscuits.

I know of one, it only breaks every 7 years or so. Hasn't broken since 2001, and I was overseas when it did. (Getting pitted out of my mind in Sumbawa, so I coped).
Takes 2 days to get there (depending on tides and where you start from), with a serious 4wd, boat and a long walk. Known shark breeding area, a few crocs and stingers. Though the barracuda scare me more, and they aren't nearly as scary as the locals.

And no, it isn't where you are thinking, and no, I'm not telling.
Unless you can access a seaplane on short notice.

Only Jeffreys Bay, Honolua Bay and probably really good Lennox which I had the first time I surfed it and have missed ever since.

For a moment I thought you were talking about ........................... But they had closed the 4WD access and those in the know we're rubber ducking in.
Yep great whites area , it is also where the whales die of old age and wash ashore on the longshore drift, one leading to other. But the note on croc sort let me know you weren't talking about ...................... So I can breath a sigh of relief
I've done a couple of serious walk ins with supplies dropped in the back dune forests by boat. Fnucked it's a four hour walk to get mobile reception so EPIRBS needed for emergency, but realistically you are on your Pat Malone!

A couple of guys have disappeared in the vicinity

Worst scenario doing the walk finding the conditions have gone to hsits.
Jaffa, I'm opinionated, and I'm sometimes right. So?

The top waves I would like to have to myself and a few mates would be Desert point and Supersuck.

All other surfers would be rounded up and forced into inland labor camps with few provisions and weekly torture sessions.

In fact that was a dream I had a few weeks ago.
