Did you know the toothbrush was invented by the French? If it had been invented by anyone else it would have been called the Teethbrush.

Gosh, I feel like I'm walking into Steve's trap here. Fongles, toothbrush is an English word. In the French it is 'teeth', i.e. plural (dents). Am I missing something simple here?
