Can anyone use some balsa

Post by Little » Thu Jun 14, 2012 7:24 pm

I just found a stack of balsa at the tip, 16 lengths of 920 mm x 50 x 50. Brand new! I'd love to lay it up and shape something out of it but that's not going to happen. Can anyone use it for something practical and nice?

Are there still tips where you can scavenge stuff out of them?

Fong, what do you intend to do with it? It'll only make a small board, about 6 foot by 16 or 17 inches.
One condition of getting this stuff is to keep us all informed and updated on the project with photographic evidence.

I buy b-grade and hand pick them... not v. expensive if you buy 10up sheets 1 - 2mm. Even the 5mm I used on the first compsand worked out around $50 worth of timber to do the bottom skin.

Fong, sorry I haven't been in touch earlier. The Balsa has gone south, missing along with my Hiace van, a Webber MiniFish, a Simon TPF, two wetsuits and other assorted items I still haven't accounted for. Van was pinched from outside a friends house in Drummoyne, Sydney. The Webber had a comic strip prominently featuring Captain Goodvibes on the bottom, so it's easily recognisable. If anyone happens to spot it anywhere I'd appreciate a message.

Arseholes.

Mate up here had his ute "misappropriated" while surfing.
After a couple of months or so he gave up any hope.
Then it turned up almost 3 months after the theft, in Brisbane.
But I don't hold much hope for the contents.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
