Tomo V4 for Sale
Sorry for posting this here but i need to act quick.
I have a brand new Tomo V4 pointed nose 5'9" X 19 1/4 x 2 1/2 clear pu.( these boards are ridden small )
5 fin set up fcs fusion in the thruster position and normal plugs in the quad rears (no fins included )
Dan has just been here so i doubt he will be here again for a while.
This board has cost me $785 if anyone is keen, make an offer soon or it will be shipped back.
I am in Vic on the peninsula and can email photos if you like.
Cheers
Dave

Re: Tomo V4 for Sale
someone should jump on this. I've had my V4 for about a week and it has been an amazing performer in this big swell - and it is 5'4
Super responsive, fast and paddle bloody well for such a small board. Space ship designs!

If I had a 'like' button, I'd still use words to say; well played Gibbon, well played.

I surfed with a bloke on one of these a few months ago.
Interesting build but seemed to have all the limitations of other fishy designs.

Steve the board is too small for me.
A chin some of his models are fish'ish but i wouldn't classify this board that way.

I’ll up Saucy’s pack of durries and go ya vacuum sealed 30 gram pack of White Ox.
Re: Tomo V4 for Sale
Just did the deal with axo. Great guy to deal with. Not a fat kaaarnt, but a pretty big unit apparantly. And board is 2 1/4, not 2/12 thick
Way out of my normal zone, but very keen
For the record, it was a carton of Styvo soft packs and a case of premium reds

G'day Cuttles
I heard Tomo was coming back to town around Easter and so i thought i'd have another crack. Curiosity with surfboards has always been my achilles and the seppos have been talking up his wares for a long time. As you know the second hand Tomo richter didn't work out last winter. I trashed its thin glassing in three-weeks and at 2 1/4 thick, it was too thin. But there were glimpses of some good stuff, i just needed more volume.
So i ordered a 5'4, 19, 2 3/8 nano in xtr - ended up with a V4 instead. Pretty similar board, except the V4 has a much more complicated tail shape, channels etc. I started out with the Yu's in thruster, but it felt pretty sticky. Have ended up using the wcts and they have been excellent. The adjustment has been minimal and for a board this size, it does paddle really well. All the foam sits under the chest and the xtr foam helps with the float, but is still extremely light. I've been between performance boards for almost twelve months - riding pretty much simmons style boards, so it is unreal to get back onto something with more twitch in the tail and a board you can comfortably paddle into pitching waves. It handled all the big swell and i am looking forward to trying it out as a quad.
Still in the newbie stage, so i'll try out some more fin set-ups and different conditions, but thus far it looks like a farking fun winter.

Re: Tomo V4 for Sale
they are far from fishy to ride. pretty much a hpsb replacement.
I have a self shaped nano replica in 5'7 x 19 1/2 x 2 3/8 that i have ridden in close to 8ft waves. Admittedly it gets a tad skatey above about 5ft, but i just wanted to see if it would work. I have also ridden it in as small as 1 ft waves. very versatile design.
