It's Kye and Derek Hynd surfing in the western Sahara and, if nothing else, it perfectly demonstrates the utter pointlessness of finless surfing. All Hynd does are spinners, a manoeuvre better known for its popularity among gutsliders. He sometimes manages half a bottom turn before doing - yep - another spinner.

Why he persists with this stupidity is completely beyond me.

i reakon, if your going to go finless, have a spring loaded fin that is through the board.
then if you want some fin action, jam your foot down on the tail pad which pushes the fins onto the water. the lift your foot off again to release.

thats a pretty poor clip....i've seen hynd surf really well finless, much more critical moves and heaps more speed

maybe those waves didn't suit him or him they

saying that his stance / style is crap, it seems like it is a one trick pony...and a boring trick at that......and , thanks for the heads up...i'll do everything humanly possiable avoid that movie if that clips the high lights

Finless surfing is as stupid as riding a shortboard under head high fat waves. Which i see a million times more of than finless surfing. I'd reckon the people knocking it would NEVER put out a video of them surfing solid J-bay on a normal "shortboard", let alone on a board with no fins. Derek surfs better with no fins, than most of you here ( bar maybe NC ) do WITH fins. But you still want to knock it. Not surprised hahaha.

What about the huge number of real f/wits who ride 'sorter' boards to try and be cool and can't even catch a wave on them or if they do it is so late they can only go straight....see it every dayyet they go about their daily ritual prentending to themselves that they have not given in to a mal or a fat boy

Yeah but its cool though . How bout the blokes who try to "punt" on every wave?!, haha so retarded. I appreciate guys who can ride a shortboard very well, but there really isn't that many. Maybe that's why they're upset?, no one is looking at them amymore?, maybe it's an attention thing?. " look at me, I can punt in a 1' wave, how sick am I?", or better yet "look at me, I just did yet another bottom turn/hack, how much like KS am I?". "Wait, why aren't you praising me?, why aren't you looking at me with admiration?, im surfing like kelly aren't I?"

Actually, i'd like all the knockers to post footage of themselves in solid waves surfing better than DH. Not likely i'd imagine
