Handshaped Pat Rawson 7'2" Best eva
Kirk Bierke 7'2" 2nd best eva
But the one that brings tears to my eyes thinking of it , insane board but more for what it would be worth now. I picked up an 8'8" in the second hand rack at the blue hawaii factory on ohau, had a red and grey spray on it, i was surfing 2 mile in vicco on it and all the pros were out Tommy carrol spies it asks where I got it and turn to Martin Potter and says I bet you wish you still owned that one (they were all undergunned). Turns out it was one of his quiver the year he won the world title, how much would it be worth now, who knows, lent it to mate and he broke it , paid me $600

Mate bought a Nat young pintail off ebay for $200, rides it regularly.
When it gets to this level of self important stupidity I lose interest.

A Simon Anderson double to single or single to double thruster . Hand shaped by him. Watched him do it. Beautiful board .

A Greg webber 7 2 gun hand shaped by Greg. Watched him do it. A freaking work of art

Hot off the rack 6'8" Skipp >><< Platypus nosed Bonzer in about '76, my doppelganger was Terry Richardson.
And the Bill Cillia shaped 6"8 Rounded pintailed single flyer Nirvana I traded it for. Main reason, I got sick of the ridicule with the Bonzer. The Bay Boys gave me a hard time over it. Novelty board they said.....
Went with the Nirvana coz their first factory was in Lakemba! of all places.
A few blocks from where I grew up. Go figure.

A 6'3" Campbell Bros 5 fin Bonzer made in about 1993, it was the same shape that WA pro Mitch Thorson used to ride.

Easily the best board I had ridden to that point, could handle waves far above what it's length suggested it should, steep drops, drive, just a great all-round board.

Trading it in for a new board was one of my all-time biggest brain fades....

Bright pink 5' 9" McCoy Lazor Zap.

I loved that board........can't remember where it went?

Oh and a super light and thin Phil Byrne rounded pin. About 6' 1".

Yesssss when BB was thin , young and handsome.

Not so young anymore unfortunately.

Not so thin either...... 8)

Shaped by ward walkup - A "Bordello" 5'6 needle nose twin fin . (board lengths were getting shorter and shorter)
It was 1'4 shorter than my current short board and hardly any board in the nose area . Rode some of the largest waves I've ridden on that toothpick . Can't believe anyone would shape that board , buy that board or ride that board , nowadays ....
Yeah it would be a nice reminder of a younger and slimmer past ......

MP stinger with a widowmaker fin set up.five feet ten and a half inches. One of the last boards he shaped I think. Actually kept it for quite a while but it went when I cleared out my mum's place after she passed away.

Find it quite amusing that even the pros roll up when it's on (Wed, Thur and Good Fri being recent examples), but it's probably one of the most "protected" waves on this coast. When we were discussing where to send Steve Shearer, this one was high on my list. Roll up, pull out the camera and seriously risk your health. Irony is that you can see it from one of the busiest tourist roads in the state

Mick Pierce 5'11" single flyer swallow thruster - coming off a twinny, it just blew me away
And that twinny. Same guy, handcrafted timber fins

Just got stu nettles two piece 6'8 jim banks red semi gun

he gave me the thing for free and im going to either repair it myself or get it profesionally repaired. through in some futures fins too.

i told him i understand how these boards can have a sentimental value, so its his if he or his kids ever want it back.

ill probably give him my daughters size 1 ripcurl springy if he has a daughter soon as a return favour.

ive done that with a few boards, offered to give or sell em back to the original owner if they miss em. especially when one i bought off a guy that was short on rent.

stu's an alright bloke.

edit : aarron is correct, baught is spelt bought
