Show us your favourite You tube Surfing clips

Post by Cuttlefish » Sat Mar 31, 2012 11:44 am

If you are IT challenged like myself you've probably seen plenty of great surfing clips posted in many and varied threads over the years but they are now who knows where in the interweb. (geek)
So if you have a favourite clip post it here for all to enjoy. :D
Fitting if we start with some MP (RIP) footage...

JO'B.
Music is rubbish, but the surfing is pretty fcuking all time.
This guy OWNS Slater's airs and graces.
And wipes his arse with Eugenes dropped manbag cutties.

Good one - stop it at 2.17 and 3.16

This one below has to be one of the most critical backside bottom turns in surfing history @ 0.16

Joel Tudor on a 6'6" Single Fin

I could watch this guy surf for hours, such a smooth, graceful flowing style - never been one for the pinball style of surfing that dominates the ASP Tour,

Aye indeed.

Almost all attempts to put music to surfing suck. Hard.

Listen to this while the video is playing instead, much more appropriate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvxS_bJ0yOU

This ride just spins me out.

Why is the quality of the surfing often inversely proportional to the quality of the music?

Nice clip, particularly admirable the way he manages to weave through that insane crowd
I, for one, would love to see a clip set to a track by The Smiths or post OK-Computer Radiohead. Apparently even the first Twilight movie had a track from Radiohead's In Rainbows.

I was looking up some info on South Lombok and stumbled across this clip of some Japanese surfers in Lombok. And the backing track ... something by Taylor Swift.

Yeah, yeah, I know ... wtf???

Great stuff, Steve. I never thought I would hear "Last Night I Dreamt That Someone Loved Me" in a surfing clip. Now if only someone would use "This Charming Man" in a clip ...
