Daz:
You borrow shares in a stock you don't own. You pay for the privilege.
You sell them.
You hope they go down.
You buy them back when they've gone down.
You give the shares back to the person you borrowed them from.
You pocket the difference in price x the number of shares, less the amount you paid to borrow them.

Your broker lends it to you.
It could be theirs, it could be another clients.
I'm stretching the limits of my understanding here, anyone want to step in?

No, my wettie is starting its 3rd season and has already been repaired 3 times. I am not confident it will make it through this season.pinhead wrote:Do Bong make any 4/3 wetties that are worth having ?

Yeah down to his last $40,000,000.00 - he has probably considered himself a failure at some time over the past week - but, compared to what????steve shearer wrote:Bad look for Gordo.

IF YOU WANT IT BADLY ENOUGH THEN YOU CAN REBUILD IT.
Otherwise you will have to learn to just scrape by on a pittance and dont be worried what other people think - you were just a battling surfer at the start now you have a portfolio of paradise and forty mill and the experience to do it again... not a bad place to start from. What a choice...

Gordon's stake in Billabng is currently worth $40 million. Pretty sure that is not the full extent of his wealth.
