Re: PIPE
pipe was a friggin good connest this year. first 2 days outta control.
glad to see gabriel medina proving himself to be a tube dodger, as alot of people expected. that would be the weakest run to quarters at pipe ever. ever.
he's a hoax and that heat against dorian sucked. if dorian hadnt of kooked his first bomb left i think he woulda won. wtf.
psyched that perrow won, what a legend, and such a good pipeline surfer. oh and parko just made two finals in a row. he's not done yet.

Re: PIPE
^^^wow. I massively disagree.
Only watched one heat of Gabriel's, morning of day two, he rode nine waves, all from different places on the reef, got a series of different styles of barrel, did two strong moves off the end sections and visibly learned more about this very complex surf spot. Of the five other guys in the water during his 40 minute heat, only Owen did a better job.
You're talking about a 17 year old kid with no prior history of surfing the Pipeline, with two major event wins under his belt out of five, and with the confidence to control his performance in a heat in order to learn more about the world's most famous and hotly contested surf zone.
Ah but he is Brazilian eh, well that makes all the difference does it.
